Swallowtail Nursery Returns to the Wondai Garden Expo
We’re excited to announce that Nathan from Swallowtail Nursery has officially been invited back to the Wondai Garden Expo for another season.
This is not just another garden talk. It is a conversation about growing opportunity, inclusion, and futures.
At this year’s Expo, Nathan will share insights into Swallowtail’s inclusive horticulture education programs, the powerful work taking place within Special Schools, and the creation of genuine employment pathways for people living with a disability. He will also discuss how local businesses and communities can become involved, and how working with nature can help build confidence, life skills, and a strong sense of purpose.
Swallowtail Nursery was founded with a clear mission to create meaningful employment and education pathways in horticulture and agriculture for people living with a disability. In recent years, the organisation has worked closely with schools, families, and local communities to ensure students do not simply graduate but move forward into real opportunities.
This work matters. For too long, people living with a disability have faced barriers to employment, confidence, and inclusion. Swallowtail Nursery is actively changing that reality. Through hands on workshops, industry partnerships, mentoring, and community engagement, the organisation is breaking down stigma, developing practical job skills, connecting students with local employers, and creating a pathway from classroom to career. The Wondai Garden Expo provides an important platform to share this message more widely.
This session offers a valuable opportunity to learn how your school, business, or organisation can get involved, support inclusive employment in regional communities, ask questions, and be part of a movement that is genuinely changing lives.
Come along for a conversation, find inspiration, and help grow something that truly matters. Because when we grow gardens, we also grow people.
See you at the Wondai Garden Expo.
