TRADING TIMES

As stated in your exhibitor information, our TRADING TIMES are 8am to 4:30pm Saturday and 8am to 1pm Sunday. We have had a number of complaints from customers attending the Expo that some stalls are not selling/trading up until these times and feel disappointed as they have paid to enter the Expo for very little shopping experience. Usually there are still people wanting to come in and buy right up until end of trade. If a business advertises their trading hours as 9am to 5pm, then that’s when they are open to trade. We are no different, and would want each Stallholder to trade until closing on both Saturday and Sunday please. The main people that will benefit from this, is you. Those extra sales are yours, so why not grab them!

CHANGE OF DATE FOR AUTUMN EXPO 2027

To fit in with many other events not only in our local area, but also events within South East Qld, we have been investigating for an alternative weekend for our Autumn Expo event to avoid clashing with other events and regularly falling on Easter. After much consideration, we have decided to move the Autumn Expo event from the 3^rd weekend in April to the 2^nd weekend in April. So, for 2027 the Autumn Expo event will be on Saturday the 10^th and Sunday the 11^th of April.

CHANGES TO VENUE

As from 2026, the Wondai Garden Expo events will have a new home! We will now be at the WONDAI SHOWGROUNDS located at 2 – 12 Kent St Wondai. As we are continually expanding and gaining a bigger volume of both customers and stalls, we have unfortunately outgrown our home at the Wondai Sportsground. The Wondai Wolves that look after the Sportsground, have needed to upgrade and expand their playing fields as they are gaining more players and visitors to games. This is fantastic news for the Wolves and the Wondai community, as it’s a testament to not only their dedication and hard work, but for the need to improve the facility for all sports in the Wondai area. As a result, we have been in negotiations with local organisations that may be able to accommodate our needs and feel confident that we will have exciting news on the details of a new venue later this year.

Please rest assured that we have thought about our venue situation for some time and this decision to move was not an easy one. After many meetings with Council to try and work around the lack of space available to us on the grounds, this decision became evident. We have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the Wondai Sportsground for over 20 years, and it will be both sad and difficult to leave, but we also believe that having more room and adequate facilities in all weather conditions for stallholders, is a priority, because without you guys, we don’t have an Expo! So, please bear with us as we move forward and aim to bring you the best Garden Expo experience we can. We are extremely committed and plan to make the transition as seamless as possible.
